Ana Maria Arce

Manager, Communications & Sustainability

Ana Maria Arce has worked in communications throughout her professional life for companies with operations in Central America and the Caribbean.

She has more than 12 years of experience in public relations, corporate social responsibility (CSR), safety and environment, corporate events and social media management. Her experience also includes agency where she managed accounts like HBO, Biography Channel, Banco Nacional de Costa Rica and SC Johnson.

Ana has been part of Bridgestone for more than eight years. Currently, she is Manager, Communications & Sustainability for Bridgestone Americas at the headquarters in Tennessee and actively participates in local and global projects related to sustainable procurement, sustainability and CSR. She has served as co-chair of the communications working group for the Tire Industry Project (TIP), under the Word Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), since 2016.

Prior to moving to the headquarters’ office, Ana was responsible for developing the volunteer program for Bridgestone Costa Rica that resulted in more than 5,000 volunteer hours annually for the last three years and promoted social responsibility projects through the distributor’s network in six countries of the region. Ana also led the company’s certification in Socially Responsibly National Norm (Inte350101), becoming only the second company in Costa Rica to obtain this certificate. Bridgestone Costa Rica’s social responsibility programs have garnered more than six national, international and corporate awards under Ana’s direction.

She has been GRI (Global Reporting Index) certified since 2011, and has experience in development and publishing corporate sustainability reports.

She is certified as an auditor for the ISO 16949 and actively worked as an internal auditor in Bridgestone Costa Rica from 2014-2015.

Ana earned a bachelors of science degree in Mass Communication from the University of Costa Rica and an MBA with a major in Marketing from the Latinoamerican University of Science and Technology. She also earned a technical degree in social responsibility form the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso.
