Izabella Rokicka

Director of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility in CEMEX Europe, President and Foundress of the CEMEX Building the Future Foundation in Poland.

Izabella Rokicka, graduated from Stockholm’s University, started her career in the construction industry in 1999. She worked in the global corporations of the construction industry such as NCC and Skanska – being responsible for internal communications, Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Affairs. Izabella joined CEMEX 10 years ago, being responsible through the years for company’s communication area, public affairs, sustainability and CSR.

Izabella since many years is actively engaged in the promotion of the sustainability concept and support for women in the construction industry, as well as close cooperation with the local communities around the business operations of the company. She initiated stakeholders dialogue process in CEMEX according to the AA 1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard (SES).

She was actively participating in the development and implementation of the Sustainability Strategy for CEMEX in Poland. She took part in the working group of the “Vision 2015” led by the Ministry of Economy, developing the Sustainability agenda in Poland. Izabella is engaged in the trade associations of Cement Producers, Ready-mix Producers and Aggregates Industry – promoting sustainable construction, LEED and BREEAM certification of the construction materials, concrete roads as the most durable and sustainable solution for infrastructure and increased usage of Alternative Fuels in the cement industry.

Izabella started Forum of Women in CEMEX Poland, promoting women in the construction sector, she is a member of the Program Council of FORKO (Forum of Women in the Construction and Infra Industry).
